On May 25, 2018, Consul General TONG Xiaoling attended the event for Hainan Airlines Inaugural Flight to Vancouver from Shenzhen via Tianjin. In her speech, TONG extended congratulations to Hainan Airlines on opening the new air route in this China-Canada Year of Tourism. She expected Hainan Airlines, together with other 6 Chinese (Mainland) airlines which have already set up operations in Vancouver, to make more contributions to bilateral cooperation in tourism, trade and aviation between China and Canada.

Mr George Chow, Minister of State for Trade of British Columbia, Mr Craig Richmond, CEO of YVR and Mr YU Chaojie, Vice President of Hainan Airlines were in attendance.
