On October 7, Consul General Fu Fengshan attended the 2026 West Coast Gala of the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs (ACCE) at the invitation and delivered remarks. Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim and more than 300 representatives from political and business circles attended the event.

Consul General Fu said that there is growing confidence across China and Canada in building a new type of strategic partnership, and that an increasing number of Canadian businesses are actively exploring opportunities to engage with China. With the Chinese economy demonstrating strong resilience and vitality, “China Opportunity 2.0” is opening up broader prospects for Canadian businesses. China and Canada enjoy strong economic complementarity, with significant potential for cooperation in trade, investment, scientific and technological innovation, green development and other areas.
Consul General Fu spoke highly of ACCE’s positive contributions to promoting entrepreneurship, supporting the growth of Chinese Canadian entrepreneurs and advancing China-Canada economic and trade ties. He expressed hope that ACCE will continue to leverage its role as a bridge, encourage more companies to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China, and contribute to the continued development of China-Canada relations.
