On September 10, Consul General Fu Fengshan attended the special screening of Dear You, organized by the Canada Teochew Federation and Canton Chamber of Commerce Canada. Privy Council Member Alice Wong, MLA Lawrence Mok, Sunita Dhir, and Counselor Liang Yanmin were present.

It vividly portrays the deep nostalgia for their homeland, as well as their commitment to keeping their word and honoring trust. The film has resonated widely both in China and abroad. He stressed that the film brings not only a warm and unforgettable cinematic experience, but also an opportunity for more Canadian friends to reach into the inner world of the Chinese people and better understand China and Chinese culture.

Consul General Fu, also gave a media interview and expressed that the screening event serves as a vivid classroom for overseas Chinese, to carry forward their affection for the motherland and to pass on Chinese culture. He hoped that cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties should be enhanced, contributing to the development of the new strategic partnership of China and Canada.
