On September 4, the Consulate‑General of the People’s Republic of China in Vancouver held an exchange session for Chinese‑Canadian youth on their study tour to China. Consul General Fu Fengshan attended and delivered remarks. Counselor Dong Zhixue took part in the event.

Chinese‑Canadian youth from the consular jurisdiction took part in study‑tour programs this year at Renmin University of China and Nankai University. During the session, young participants enthusiastically shared their experiences and insights gained in China. They recounted vivid moments from classroom sessions and intangible cultural heritage activities, and talked about their reflections on traditional poetry gatherings as well as cutting‑edge modern technology. They said the trip allowed them to witness China’s rapid development first‑hand and forge precious cross‑border friendships.
In his address, Consul General Fu pointed out that youth‑to‑youth exchanges constitute a vital foundation for people‑to‑people bonds between China and Canada. He encouraged the young people to act as envoys for non‑governmental exchanges and bridges for trans‑Pacific engagement. He invited them to continue presenting an objective and vivid picture of China from a youth perspective, and contribute their youthful energy to deepening mutual understanding between the two countries.
