On September 1, Consul General Fu Fengshan met with Canadian Member of Parliament Don Davies.

Consul General Fu stated that under the strong leadership of President Xi Jinping, China is steadily advancing Chinese modernization and continuing to write new chapters in high-quality development, thereby offering “China Opportunity 2.0” to the world. He noted that China has put forward and is actively implementing four major global initiatives, consistently contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to the improvement of the global governance system. Under current circumstances, he added, China and Canada, as new strategic partners, share broader common interests and enjoy wider space for cooperation.

MP Davies recalled his multiple visits to China in recent years with great pleasure and spoke highly of China’s remarkable achievements in economic and social development. He expressed his hope that Canada and China would advance exchanges and cooperation across various fields, delivering more tangible benefits to the people of both countries.
