On July 28, Consul General Fu Fengshan was invited to attend the 40th anniversary celebration of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden and delivered a speech.

Consul General Fu noted that this year marks the 160th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. He stated that it was a great honor, at this important historical moment, to jointly reflect on the deep historical significance and contemporary value embodied by the Garden. He highlighted that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Canada relations have entered a new strategic partnership. Looking back, the Garden has witnessed the flourishing exchanges and cooperation between Canada and China. Looking ahead, the Garden will continue to serve as a bridge, fostering cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and supporting the sound, steady, and sustainable development of China-Canada relations.

The event was graced by Minister of Veterans Affairs Jill McKnight, MP Wade Grant, representatives from provincial & municipal legislatures as well as other sectors.
