Over the past two days, Consul General Fu Fengshan attended the 8th Chinese Culture and Arts Festival jointly hosted by the Canadian Alliance of Chinese Associations and the Canada Sichuanese Friendship Association, as well as the 2026 Chinese Culture Heritage Festival & 18th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival, hosted by the Canadian Community Service Association.

Consul General Fu commended the local Chinese community in jointly preserving and promoting China’s traditional culture, enriching Canada’s multicultural landscape, and facilitating cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and Canada. He expressed readiness to work with overseas Chinese community to implement the important consensus reached between the leaders of China and Canada and the Global Civilization Initiative, continue to promote people-to-people friendly exchanges, and enhance mutual understanding.

The two events were held respectively at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza and Burnaby Central Park. Despite rainy weather, the public enthusiasm remained high, and the atmosphere was lively and warm.
