The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Vancouver hosted spring festival reception on January 21st. Consul General Yang Shu, together with over 450 guests, including representatives from Chinese communities, Chinese enterprises and students, attended the celebratory event.
Consul General Yang extended his New Year's greetings, highlighted China's achievements in 2024, reviewed the robust China-Canada partnership. He emphasized the deepening friendship between China and Canada, marked by the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 30th anniversary of the sister-province relationship between Guangdong and BC. Consul General Yang called for continued efforts to deepen people-to-people exchanges and promote bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Cultural performances rich in traditional Chinese elements were presented by local troupes, and the Consulate General staff joined in singing "Unforgettable Tonight". The event was filled with festive cheer and a strong sense of the New Year.
