On November 10, Consul General Yang Shu was invited to attend the awards ceremony of the "Feng Hua Cup" Youth Painting Competition and the 7th Global Chinese Recitation Competition. More than 150 people, including representatives from Canadian business and political sectors, teachers, students and their families, participated in the event.

In his speech, Consul General Yang praised the participants' artworks and their love for art and Chinese culture. He encouraged the students to maintain their passion for art, work diligently in their Chinese studies, bravely pursue their dreams, and continue to explore the richness of Chinese culture. He also expressed hope that they would become ambassadors of Chinese civilization and foster greater friendship and understanding between China and Canada.

The award-winning works of the first "Feng Hua Cup" were showcased at the reception celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General of China in Vancouver this year, receiving unanimous praise from the guests.
