Consul General Yang Shu Attends Centennial Celebration of Sun Yat-sen University

On August 9th, Consul General Yang Shu attended the "A Century of Sun Yat-sen University: Mountains High, Waters Long" centennial celebration hosted by the Sun Yat-sen University Alumni (Vancouver) Association. Vice President Xie Shi of Sun Yat-sen University, President Yin Qi of the Alumni (Vancouver) Association, and over 100 guests and alumni representatives were present.

Consul General Yang Shu expressed his congratulations on Sun Yat-sen University's glorious history of one hundred years. He commended the university's unwavering commitment to its founding mission, serving Guangdong Province, caring about the nation, and embracing the world. He also highlighted the university's significant contributions to national development and talent cultivation. Yang fully affirmed the Alumni (Vancouver) Association's role in uniting alumni in Western Canada, supporting the university's development, and promoting exchanges in education, culture, and economy between China and Canada. He encouraged the alumni association to make even greater contributions to the development of China-Canada relations in various fields.

During the event, the Sun Yat-sen University Alumni (Vancouver) Association held a lighting ceremony at Canada Place, creating a stunning sight for Vancouver.
